1998 - "Early Projects" album : After a demo (cassette), the full CD, "Early Projects" appears like a collecting of old ('Sharks, MOD, CYANHIDE, Crash') and new songs ('The Hill, Gaelic, The Torch). Most of the titles are Illian's creations. He made this CD alone, before the other ones arrive.
This CD permitted to definitely fix some titles, and helped to define the CYANHIDE style.
The album is sent to several radios and fanzines, and is positively welcomed. No gigs are scheduled during this period, because the band prefers working on new titles ('Cairns'). |
2000 - Cairns" album: Industrial, Electro, and Metal influences are much more present. The equipment we now use is greater than the one used for "Early Projects" so, of course, this album sounds better.
Recording process takes more time that what was scheduled at first, but we needed to slightly modify some titles to play them on stage. Some concerts are planned in France, during Spring and Summer 2000. This is 'Cairns' tour (short, but quite interesting). |
2003- "DanceFloor" album : The recording hardware is now up to date (no more heavy limitations, such as the 8 tracks interface we used before ('Early projects' et 'Cairns')). DanceFloor is on the run, but the MASTER is delayed for several reasons (such as money and opportunities). Most of the titles are played during the concerts. The new titles sound like 'An old man' and 'Witch-Hunt' ('Cairns' album). They are more rythmic, more 'dancefloor' without being stupid. The objective we targeted is about to be reached: an album designed for stage. |
2004 : Concerts, international promotion, Internet site upgrade, first songs of the next album. |
2005 : "Early Projects" & "Cairns" have been remastered ! These new mixes include several expected corrections, and upgrade the audio quality to the level of 'Dancefloor'. But for now, they're only available on CD-R, because of money (!). |
2006 : Obviously, things don't follow the way they should this year. The fourth album lates, not because of a lack of creativity, but of a lack of availability. Illian writes the complete album alone this time, but has to face an 'unexpected' rule of father (birth of his first daugther 'Imrinn'). He now also needs to manage some new little problems. The fact there is no true workshop appears like a true problem. The album is well advanced, but not completed at this time. Several new titles are downloadable, but the album won't certainly be avalaible before 2007. |
